When to Book a Masai Mara Holiday Package for Christmas and New Year

Christmas and New Year are popular times to take a break, so it is sensible to plan a Masai Mara safari before your preferred dates arrive. Booking early gives you time to compare package options, organise transport and discuss any special activities. However, no dates or accommodation should be treated as confirmed until the camp has checked availability.

Start by deciding who is travelling and how many nights you want to spend in the reserve. Mara Siligi Camp offers a mid-range Masai Mara safari package for two to three days, a four-day couples and honeymoon option, family stays of five days or more, and a six-day photography tour. Your group size, accommodation needs and preferred activities can help determine which option is most suitable.

Next, prepare the details needed for an enquiry. Include your arrival and departure dates, the number of adults and children, the ages of any children, your preferred package and any optional experiences you are considering. If you need transfers from Nairobi, share your flight or arrival information. Mention dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or allergy-related needs, when you contact the camp.

Review the proposed quote carefully. Mara Siligi Camp's packages include accommodation, all meals, daily guided game drives, park entry fees and a local Maasai guide. Optional activities, such as a balloon safari and cultural village visit, as well as transfers, are priced separately. An itemised quote helps you understand the cost before making a decision.

It is worth planning around the seasonal experience too. December and early January generally have fewer vehicles than the July–October migration peak. The famous river crossings usually occur during the migration season, while calving season begins in January and runs through March. The right time to travel depends on your priorities, not only the calendar.

A Masai Mara Holiday Package should be confirmed only after you have reviewed the itinerary, pricing and availability. Mara Siligi Camp responds to enquiries within 24 hours with a personalised plan and itemised quote. Contact the team early with your preferred dates and group details to find out what is available for your festive-season stay.
